This interdisciplinary cultural historical study is devoted to the intellectual biography of the journalist and poet, Georg Greflinger (ca. 16171677), a fascinating and in many respects exemplary author of 17^th century German literature and musical history. The focus is on Greflinger's song lyrics the area in which the author achieved the greatest recognition during his own epoch and beyond.
