This study investigates how scientific literature is read in research, teaching, and study. It examines the role of social relationships and reading circumstances along with the textual structure of the literature and its discursive sharing and negotiation with others. From this perspective, reading is a physical-communicative behavior, shaped by the material and social organization of situations.
