The second volume of Medieval and Renaissance Constellations concludes a research project that for the first time collected and edited all of the illustrated astronomical and astrological manuscripts from 8001500. It has created a remarkable new foundation for our understanding of vernacular pictorial culture, the reception of antiquity, and the astronomical and astrological sciences in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
