The Handbook of German Grammar is a scholarly, modern, easy-to-read grammar, which is ideal for teaching and learning, as a reference when in doubt, and as guide for understanding the approaches of modern grammar theory. It uses the traditional terminology, while explaining diverging terms of current models. In the 4th edition, experience from using the book in class is taken into account, as well as the current state of research. As before, a comprehensive index helps the reader to quickly find what s/he is looking for.
