The nascent field of conversational rhetoric has not yet examined narration as a rhetorical and persuasive phenomenon. This book thus pursues the fundamental question of how to systematically describe the rhetoricity of narration in conversations. By developing a systematics of rhetorical analysis models, it attempts to combine conversation analysis, social psychology, and modern rhetoric theory.
