The author and his wife own Uptown Pediatric Dentistry in New Orleans, and through this colorful picture book, he introduces young readers to the dental environment.

Author Adam Dennis has worked as an attorney, dental office manager, touring musician, sous-chef, and radio promoter. He enjoys playing guitar, cycling, and travel. Dennis resides with his family in Uptown New Orleans. Herb Leonhard received a BFA in illustration from the Pacific Northwest College of Art. He is the illustrator of several other Pelican books, including The Cajun Fisherman and His Wife. Leonhard lives in Prosser, Washington.
