Aleksei Tolstói was born on January 10, 1883, in Pugachyov, Russia. A writer of multiple genres, he focused mainly on sociopsychological works, science fiction, and historical novels. His first publication came in 1907, with a poetry collection called Lyrical, which reflected his symbolist tendencies. Among his major works are The Originals, The Childhood of Nikita, The Adventures of Nevzorov, The Hyperboloid of Engineer Garin, the trilogy Walking Through the Agonies, and The Golden Key or the Adventures of Buratino, the latter inspired by the children's book Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The author was a distant relative of Liev Tolstói. He passed away in 1945 in Moscow.

Júnior Caramez is married to Daniela, and together they are the proud parents of Gabriel.
Born in Sorocaba, he worked for over twenty years in advertising agencies before founding his own creative studio. Over his career, he has illustrated nearly thirty books. He is part of an animation project that combines health and fun, and he also works on other projects in Brazil and around the world, creating editorial and educational illustrations, product labels, animations, and more.
