Asha of Rill doesn't like complications. She prefers her work as a Green Warden to be as simple as possible: tracking dangerous creatures, clearing poisonous plants, and patrolling the forest around her village home. Anything to spend as much time in the woods as possible, with no one to talk to besides her beloved shadowcat.

What she doesn't want is to be sent after a human man who's gone missing, and in the deepest, most mysterious part of the woods, where Wardens rarely tread. Venturing into those shadowed halls risks angering the goddess Asha serves, but letting a human invade Hirwaen's domain is even worse.

There are secrets waiting amongst the trees. Strange creatures, marauding visitors, entire villages that shouldn't be there. If Asha is going to restore the sanctity of the woods, she'll have to negotiate an entirely new world, make peace with her own calling as a Warden - and wrangle one irritating human who seems determined to get under her skin.

Welcome to Wyldhome, a cozy adventure fantasy of forest journeys, animal companions, righting past wrongs, and copious quantities of tea. Why not step inside? The wilds are waiting.

Autorentext

Amy has been writing for as long as she can remember, inspired by a childhood fascination with books. By the time she was fifteen and confronted with school 'careers guidance', she'd decided being an author was the only profession she could possibly enjoy - which, of course, led to a string of other roles, including Archaeology student, bookseller and library assistant. These days, she lives in the North Yorkshire countryside with her partner, where they run a bed & breakfast business and smallholding. When she's not working or writing, Amy enjoys reading, gaming, photography, and trying to pretend she's a grown-up.
