The mayor of Prescott, Arizona Territory, is shot at the end of the annual Horribles Parade. Haseya has just started her amateur investigation business in town and is drawn into the investigation. Talented but inexperienced, Haseya attempts to solve the murder, then the sheriff gets in her way. Meanwhile, she picks up two ragtag assistants, without knowing if they will help her or ruin everything. There are more murders, and Haseya is determined to solve the crimes. A prime suspect emerges. Now she must prove that the suspect is either innocent, or guilty. She may be in over her head.
