Forty-eight is a collection of poems giving an honest look at the joys, sorrows, and challenges of love and life. It gives significance to emotions through the voice of modern lyrical verse.

Ann Ibarra, currently an art specialist, has a bachelor's in communication arts from the University of the Incarnate Word and a bachelor's in education from the University of Texas, San Antonio. She enjoys painting, playing the piano, and traveling and has visited countries all over the world. She is also the author of Lorena's Rosary.
