Someone, or something, is killing the high-rollers who frequent Cleo's pleasure palace in 1880s Leadville, Colorado. Cleo, one of the blood-sucking Immortals enlivening Leadville's nightlife, would love to sink her teeth into whoever is responsible.

The Time Walker Detective Agency sends one of its newest time-traveling detectives to sort through the various non-human suspects lurking in the shadows of this silver-mining boomtown. Can he uncover the murderer before the night is out and Cleo loses her patience?

Time may not be on his side. He'll have to work fast, while keeping shapeshifters, vampires, and other Immortals from checking his mortality at the door as he investigates.
