This is the second novel in the Otto Loser series. The first was A Stranger Danger. In The Scarlet Godwins Marley discovers she's the twin sister of Charlotte Godwin. The sisters meet, but their meeting ends in Marley's conviction for Charlotte's murder. Marley's appeal is taken up by criminal defence lawyer, Otto Loser. Her letters are interspersed with Otto's thorough review of her case, which is about to become explosive.
