The purpose of Arlene's books is to clear up common grammar issues with short, friendly, and easy-to-use books.. She is also a copyeditor for both fiction and nonfiction and offers grammar and business-writing presentations and workshops. She recently retired from teaching English after 11 years in the public schools in Petaluma, CA.
Arlene has been a featured speaker at the Sonoma County (CA) Book Festival, Bay Area Independent Publishing Association (BAIPA), Redwood Writers, Sonoma County Library, Romance Writers of America, Society of Technical Communications, College of Marin, Copperfield's bookstore, and several Rotary and other community groups.

She holds degrees in Print Media, English, and Humanities, as well as California teaching and school administration credentials. She has two extremely amazing children who are now young adults!
Other than words, Arlene's favorite things include her children (of course); her chihuahua, Minnie; coffee, especially Starbucks; hot weather; penguins; music; and dancing. Oh, and chocolate, of course. Dark. She now makes her home in Florida.
