In 1807 Paris, Napoleon tasks French officer Elouan Laurent with a covert mission: infiltrate the Spanish embassy through Don Ramón Narváez, godfather to Elouan's wife, Coral de Garcés y Malvasía, to uncover Spain's stance before an invasion. Their reunion, however, rekindles Elouan's buried vengeance, casting Coral as an unwitting pawn in a treacherous game between empires.
