Dr. B. Waine Kong, 83, is a passionate retired healthcare executive, educator, and author based in Thomaston, Georgia. Originally from Jamaica, he moved to the United States in 1959 and has since traveled to all 50 states and 107 countries.He holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. and J.D., and served for 21 years as CEO of the Association of Black Cardiologists, where he dedicated his career to advancing health equity and education.Now retired, Dr. Kong enjoys golfing, swimming, writing, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Stephanie Kong. Dr. Basil Waine Kong is a passionate storyteller and lifelong learner, he has authored five books and contributes a weekly column to the Upson County Beacon.
