Leonid Ivanovich Zaslavsky is a middle-aged man reconciled to spending his remaining years feeding pigeons in the park and pondering the many ways that life has let him down. One day a found family of homeless teenagers asks him for help escaping the sort of horror that most people try to pretend doesn't exist. Suddenly Leo has a renewed purpose, and the teens are on their way to learning what love and family really means.
