Bernhard Pick (1842-1917) was born in Prussia and educated at Union Theological Seminary in training for the Presbyterian ministry. He then became a Lutheran and pastored congregations in New York and Pennsylvania. His publications include 'The Apocryphal Acts of Paul, Peter, John, Andrrew and Thomas,' 'Historical Sketch of the Jews since the Destruction of Jerusalem,' and 'The Life of Christ according to the Extra-canonical Sources.'
