Ally the Friendly Alligator - Professional Development for Teachers

Ally the Friendly Alligator is a joyful, story-based Professional Development experience designed for early childhood educators. Through Ally's adventures in the bayou, teachers discover powerful ways to nurture kindness, empathy, and emotional intelligence in young learners. This program helps teachers understand how to model positive social interactions and create a classroom where compassion and cooperation thrive.

As part of this training, educators will read Ally the Friendly Alligator - a beautifully illustrated story about a kind-hearted alligator who chooses friendship over fear. While other alligators tease and keep to themselves, Ally helps a lost duck find its way home, showing that even the smallest acts of kindness can make big ripples in the world. Her gentle spirit teaches children that true strength lies in caring for others.

Participants receive a Certificate of Completion and gain valuable tools for integrating social-emotional learning (SEL) into their classrooms. Through guided reading questions, role-play activities, and personal reflection pages, teachers explore the importance of emotional growth, empathy, and kindness in early education.

The included Teacher Reflection Sheet and Comprehension Guide encourage educators to apply these lessons to real classroom situations, deepening their understanding of how stories like Ally the Friendly Alligator can shape both hearts and minds.

Together, we celebrate Ally's message:

"When we teach kindness, we teach the heart."

Autorentext

Beth Costanzo's passion for teaching began at the age of eight, when she transformed her parents' garage into a classroom of her own. When the neighborhood school replaced its desks, Beth eagerly rescued the old ones, arranging them neatly for her "students." At the end of each school day, she collected extra worksheets, already envisioning lessons yet to be taught. Even then, her mother knew Beth was destined to become a teacher. That early love for learning grew into a lifelong career dedicated to educating young children. Beth earned a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, followed by a Master's degree in School Administration. She further specialized in literacy instruction by obtaining a Reading Certificate from the Wilson Reading System, reinforcing her expertise in evidence-based reading instruction. With decades of classroom experience, Beth is known for her deep understanding of early childhood development and her ability to make learning engaging, meaningful, and joyful. Her work reflects a belief that strong foundations in literacy and learning begin early-and when nurtured with care, creativity, and intention, they last a lifetime.
