Heaven and Hell have been in an eternal conflict since the creation of mankind. Earth is the battleground to a spiritual war that only few see and take part in. The Catholic Church is caught off guard when a portal leading into Hell suddenly opens. William Bourgeois, a young man and aspiring monk from Louisiana, doesn't realize that he will play a vital part in the success or failure, and overall survival of God's creations.
