Bo Song is an Associate Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He previously held a position at the Université de Technologie de Belfort-Montbéliard in France where he participated in many industrial projects. His research is focused on selective laser melting (SLM) of 3D components directly from powders, including the realization in situ of different alloys and composites by laser forming, and the mastery of different spray methods for fabricating advanced coatings.
