When Jerry suspects his wife, Jean, of cheating, he discovers that things are much worse. Jean, a compulsive gambler, has gone in way over her head and bargained with the casino in dark ways to pay off her markers. Jerry discovers this and confronts her in the act with another man. He soon discovers that the humiliation of being a cuckold is the greatest joy in life.
