Thirteen-year-old Irving is a boy of order, a meticulous soul who files his socks like precious artifacts. But lately, the "rhythmic hum" of the dryer has become the soundtrack to a creeping dread. His favorite socks are vanishing, one by one. Convinced that a "Domestic Anomaly" is at work, Irving sets out to hunt a monster, only to find that the "Sock Stealing Sasquatch" might be a manifestation of the very chaos he's been trying to outrun.
