C.J. Shane is an Arizona writer and visual artist. She has worked as a professional newspaper journalist, academic reference librarian, ESL teacher, and freelance writer. She exhibits her artwork nationally and internationally. She is the author of eight nonfiction books and numerous magazine and newspaper articles. Her first fiction book, Desert Jade: A Letty Valdez Mystery, (11-2017) was a finalist for Best Suspense-Thriller novel, New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards. Her second Letty Valdez Mystery, Dragon's Revenge (11-2018), is a finalist for Best Mystery and Best Multiciltural Book, NM-AZ Book Awards.
