Moving had been a whole day affair. First to load up at Holly's old apartment, drive across town, unload and show them where each larger piece of furniture might go...and Holly stressed the might. Because one never knows for sure how a room will come together. There has to be more planning than, "Just put it right there." When Holly felt that she had exhausted their good nature, she tipped them and gave them the last of her Mexican pilsner Pacifico's' bade them farewell.
The next thing on the list for Chef Holly was to go to the store and buy something special to celebrate. Her wines had not arrived and she was thirsty. Since The Party Source Shop was about a mile away Holly took her bike. When she arrived, she found a fairly decent spirits shop with many aisles for culinary appetites as well. They had an excellent selection of single barrel bourbons, and she ran into Nick and Noel, who she learned were her next-door neighbors.
Getting home, Holly asked them in for a drink. They accepted. Noel went along with Holly while Nick put their purchases away. The two women hit it off well in the time Nick was gone. During their conversation Holly got the impression from Noel that she might be interested in being more than just Holly's neighbor. Noel's overtures became more aggressive. Holly had to remind Noel about Nick, but it didn't seem to deter her much. What could she do?
