The most real component of the book is Part 1, which is dedicated to the truest person in his life: his late wife. The fictional component increases later to reach its peak in the stories. The stories range from a dust storm in the desert to meeting natives in Marrakesh to political events in South America. They also refer to family festivities spent abroad to important decision that determine the course of one person life.

Carlos R. Mechoso is a retired professor of science. He has published more than 200 technical papers and two books. He is currently senior editor for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Climate. After retiring he has found internal peace writing poems and stories, which combine fiction and reality.
