Charlene Campfield and Leon Campfield Sr. are authors and illustrators of books for children, teens and young adults. For many years they were blessed with a Ministry of Music as The Campfield Experience, writing and performing their own songs in Christian rhythm and blues, soft rock and smooth jazz. Their His Kids Adventure picture books are based on those musical times. The band consisted of Leon on drums, Charlene on lead guitar, their daughter Jasmine initially on the piano and timbales and then converting to be a second drummer because of her incredibly fast hands and natural talent, and their son Jamie as their bass player whose talent was beyond amazing, with his unique style,taking their music to the next level. As for vocals, Leon was the lead singer with the most soulful and heavenly voice, presenting a range from tenor to deep bass; Charlene was a backup singer and along with Jasmine and Jamie, they produced a tight three part harmony.
In 2003, they created CampfieldsLearning.com, a Christian Resource Webstore for Children, Teens, Young Adults, their Parents and their Teachers. In 2009, they formed Campfield and Campfield Publishing, an indie company. Their mission is to encourage young people to further God's Kingdom for His glory through the generous gifts He gives to each of us.
