With nearly three decades of experience in education, Dr. Lewis has served as a bilingual teacher, an advocate for students with diverse learning needs, and a champion for underserved communities. She earned her Doctorate in Education and has dedicated her career to believing in students others might overlook?a passion born from her own childhood struggles with Graves' disease and being misunderstood in the classroom.

Dr. Lewis's heart for global missions led her to serve in El Salvador, France, Morocco, and Spain over the course of eleven transformative years. Her missionary work with diverse communities, including serving as co-youth pastor at an all-Hispanic church in Texas, reflects her belief that God's love transcends all boundaries.

As a survivor who found the courage to break generational cycles of abuse, Dr. Lewis brings both personal experience and professional expertise to trauma recovery. Her story was catalyzed by an Oprah Winfrey Show episode that gave her the words to name her expertise and the courage to speak up, ultimately helping to free her family from a decades-long pattern of abuse.

Married to her husband Killrain, Dr. Lewis is also a devoted mother. Together, they have navigated the complexities of healing within marriage and family life, proving that love can indeed triumph over trauma when grounded in faith and commitment to growth.
