To produce a single pound of honey, honeybees will visit as many as 2 million flowers and travel a distance equal to three trips around the Earth. As they work, danger lurks along the way. Natural and environmental threats, coupled with an exhausting workload, make their lives challenging. Yet, despite despairing circumstances, the bees persevere.
Through their inspirational example, bees teach us about hope.
Hope & Honeybees is written by a local beekeeper and pastor. It explores the fascinating life of honeybees as a powerful Biblical analogy of hope. Exploring topics such as community, family, purpose, and love, Chanley brings God's Word to life with meaningful and timeless applications. Despite living in a world full of despair, we are born of hope.

He currently serves as the Pastor at Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Southern Indiana. It is a community dedicated to meaningful growth with a vision to "grow in faith, share hope, and to love one another as followers of Jesus." He also earned his Master's from Lincoln Christian Seminary, where he focused on ministry, spiritual formation, and leadership.
Michael has been married for over 30 years to Rose. Together, they have three wonderful children and one grandson. On their small farm, nestled in the highlands of Southern Indiana, they keep chickens, peafowl, a chocolate lab, too many cats to count, and an apiary full of honeybees.
