Book Two: Chaku Shaa

A sea voyage brings the company to the mouth of the river which will lead them into the interior of the southern forests. But the terrors of the archipelago seem to stalk them inland as they trek towards the last mountain spurs and come to the edge of the desert.

The second book of 'Bright Moons: Black Frost' continues the quest for the Ark, but the course is not as the Pachua planned. War comes to Chaku Shaa and, whilst shouldering through the brutality to keep themselves alive, Fraser and Jon and their companions must attempt to covertly mould the events to their advantage. And the struggle is not only with the perils surrounding them. Both boys are confused by the new inner voices and unexpected, conflicting loyalties which challenge their understanding of each other.

Then there is Ghash. It seems their guide is not invulnerable after all.
