Beginners Mind came to life as a reflection of my personal journey in mindfulness. It is an attempt to explain complex processes that happen as a result of a simple practice. After a while, I realized that using words to explain mindfulness led me to a mindless process. The more I tried to bring clarity, the less present I was. The drawings helped me to express exactly how I feel through the practice, and I hope it will become an inspiration to those who are curious about the practice.

Dalida Turkovic, an executive and wellness coach, has been living and working in Beijing since 1993. With over fifteen years experience in practices of internal martial arts, meditation, and mindfulness, she coaches clients how to connect with resourceful states when dealing with setbacks and changes within personal and professional environment. Her personal mission is to share mindful living techniques for balance, peace, and positivity.
