The man known as the Astrologer desires only death. He's been cruelly tortured by the sultan Khat Mosahn III for what feels like an eternity and has given up all hope.

But when a beautiful demon visits him offering a chance at revenge, he is ready for his pain to end, for his captors to taste their own medicine, and for a new life to begin.

But demons are tricky business partners. And the arithmetic of vengeance is not easily reckoned by desperate mortals.
