Daniel L. Root is a researcher in detoxification science and co-developer of the Detoxination® protocol, a clinically tested method that uses niacin, exercise, and sauna therapy to eliminate fat-stored toxins. He is the son of Dr. David E. Root, MD, MPH-a world-renowned expert in environmental detoxification and occupational medicine.In 1986, Daniel underwent the original detox protocol to recover from addiction. This life-saving experience inspired a lifelong mission to refine and expand the process. He later co-developed Detoxination® with his father to reduce the daily commitment from five hours to a manageable two-hour regimen, while improving its safety and effectiveness.Together, they co-authored Sauna Detoxification Using Niacin, now in its second edition, which has sold thousands of copies worldwide and is supported by 15 peer-reviewed studies, including detoxification efforts for 9/11 rescue workers and Gulf War veterans.Daniel previously co-founded Detoxination Wellness Centers in 2017 to expand access and training. He leads the International Detoxinician(TM) Certificate Training School (IDCTS dot com), where he trains health and wellness professionals in advanced detox techniques. Today, Daniel continues to expand this mission through Remote Detox Coaching and as the administrator of the Facebook group named after their book. The Root's maintain a website based on their slogan, "Get Detoxinated!".He also serves as a Technical Advisor to Firefighters Against Cancer and Exposures (F.A.C.E.S.), helping to bring detox support to first responders, and as Associate Editor of Health Tech Reporter, a publication highlighting innovations in medical imaging and integrative wellness.Daniel is CEO of Sabre Hawk, LLC, and continues to advance detox science globally. After adopting three biological sisters, he served six years on the Board of Sierra Adoption Servicers/Sierra Forever Families. He lives in Sacramento, California, with his wife Suzy and their youngest daughter.
