The Man Who Could Fix Anything is not a children's story. Then again, there are no 50 shades of anything else. It is simply a short love story, told in verse, with the lilting style associated with several of House's works. House is a wonderful storyteller who has an eye for detail, an ear for honest, lyrical writing and the ability to capture emotion with words and vivid images.

Autorentext

Children's author, poet, storyteller, musician and singer/songwriter,
Darrell House wears a lot of hats. Described as Grizzly Adams meets
Key West, he has a magnetic personality and is a powerful performer.
Having presented in hundreds of schools and libraries, he is also a regular
performer, nationwide, at Reading Festivals and Early Childhood
Education Conferences. Miller the Green Caterpillar, his children's
picture book, is an inspirational story of setting goals, and his two
CD's of original music, Underneath the Cushions on the Couch and
Makes Me Feel Like Singing are packed with original songs enjoyed by
kids and parents alike. Speed-B-B-B-Bumps, a spoken word CD collection
of mostly humorous poems, earned a 2010 Parents' Choice Gold Award,
and autumn 2011 witnessed the arrival of his beautifully illustrated
children's book, The King of Fish, winner of the Florida Writer's Association
Royal Palm Literary Award. In 2015 House's first chapter book, Bennie & Bonnie
earned Third Place Honors in the RPLA literary Awards. Accompanying himself
on acoustic guitar, Darrell captivates an audience like few can, and the way he embraces literacy
and family values get kids excited about reading and writing.
