In Remarks on Time, Davina Allison converses with the great philosopher Bernard Lonergan SJ (1904-1984), who, in an age subordinate to degraded and degrading ideas, asked serious questions about the drive to knowledge. Here, in intense, vivid poems, the lovers' bedroom and garden, silk, birds, oranges, violets, and rain are conjured, offering a contemplative vision of desire, love, and the world apprehended in time, and outside of it.

Davina Allison's poems have been published in a range of literary journals, including the Australian Book Review, Wild Court (King's College London), The London Magazine, and by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as Editor's Choice. She has a classics degree, two masters degrees (one with honors), and a PhD in academic syntax.
