Launched abruptly into a strange world, Sydney must figure out why, and what she needs to do to get home. Learning she is part of a prophesy, she acquires a bit of magic, a small sword, and sets out on her quest. On the way she bonds with a dragon, battles a witch, and is cast into a dungeon from which she must escape. Danger lurks on every side but she is determined to find the pearl of power and save a kingdom. Can one small girl overcome a powerful witch, an army determined to destroy everything in its path, a demon, and any number of dragons determined to kill her? If she cannot, darkness will fall on this land and there will be no way home for her.

Although not quite over-the-hill, Doug is certainly approaching the summit. He lives in Etobicoke which is a polite way of saying West Toronto. When not exercising such creative talents as he may possess, Doug may be found gardening or out somewhere fishing.
