A child who grows up close to animals, be they pets like cats and dogs or other creatures like birds, squirrels or beasts of the field know the wonderous feeling of sharing life with another being different from themselves. Whether a horse, a goat or a humble duck theses creatures teach lessons and greater understanding of life.

Eamonn (Edward J.) Coffey was raised in Ireland in the 1950s and came to the US in 1970. As the middle child in a family of 5 he grew up in a semi-rural area surrounded by farms, fields and animals including, of course, ducks.
