When Marc (Big Daddy) Brown takes leave from the Denver Broncos to visit his ill father, he has no idea of the life changing events to follow. Andy Brown discovers he can not return to his job of Sheriff as soon as expected. He asks his son to fill in while tests are being run. Reluctantly, Marc agrees, but he can only stay a few more weeks.
Shortly after becoming temporary sheriff, a world-renowned romance author is murdered. Marc is concerned about being qualified to fined the killer, but since there is no one else to do it he takes on the challenge.
Another body is found, but this time it is the son of his two best friends. This angers him and makes him more determined to find the monster doing this.
More people are killed and his is no closer to the murderer. As hi is spiraling toward depression, salvation is found in the arms of his college sweetheart. Renewed love, and a couple of unexpected events give him the incentive to complete his mission.

I married my wife Sandy in 1969. We have three children and 9 grandchildren. I was a combat cinamatographer in the US Army. I wrote a weekly article in our local newspaper and was a professional photographer for 20 years closing my studio in 1988. I was one of two writers for a weekly childrens video titled Kidzcan, and in 2006 saw my Mystery of the Hats story published in paper back.I retired from Ford Motor Company in 2000.
