Over many years, during quiet moments of reflection, characters from Noosa's past often drifted across a blank canvas in my mind. I gathered these images lovingly and threaded their stories on the cord of my memory to keep for all time. Their unique stories and personalities will now live on.

I have made every attempt to contact the characters in this book to confirm the accuracy of detail and to gather their reflections of the 'good old days'. Most people were delighted at the thought of being made immortal; however, a handful simply could not be located.

My personal recollections are part autobiographical and part historical reflections of the way Noosa used to be.
