Autorentext

I, Emma Rhodes Harris, was born in a small town in north Florida called Apalachicola. It was there that I graduated from Chapman High School in 1969. Upon entering Fla. A & M. University, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I met my husband, Floyd L. Harris there and moved to Riviera Beach, Fla. and got my first job as an elementary school teacher. We had three children- Angel, Rashan, and Diya. We then moved to Miami, Fla. where I continued to teach until retirement. After retiring, I moved to Dallas,Texas and decided to pursue my dream of becoming a writer of children stories. My inspiration for writing came from my grandmother, Minnie L. Archie, who was a writer, my father,Ruffin Rhodes, who was a storyteller and my grandchildren, who gave me ideas to write about. It's never too late to pursue a dream. You only have to start.
