SAN PEDRO SULA, HONDURAS, 1971. The eldest son of a powerful drug lord is abducted from his home. Six weeks later, his mutilated corpse is dumped in his family's front yard-a chilling message that sets the stage for bloody revenge. Two years later, an American pop star, a Honduran heiress, a vengeful father, a jealous former classmate, and international terrorists converge in Paris. What could go wrong?

Brad James-a rising pop star and CIA troubleshooter-is in Paris working on his new record when he's tapped for a dangerous undercover job. A fellow operative has been murdered. A terrorist plot looms.

His mission is thrown into turmoil after he rescues Yolanda, an alluring Honduran heiress, from the terrorists he's hunting. The terrorists turn on him as Yolanda becomes ever more dependent and mysterious. Who is Yolanda? Why are the terrorists interested in her? Who is behind the terrorists, and what are they really plotting?

With the clock ticking, Brad teams up with ex-Marine Chuck Hall to unravel a web of vengeance and deceit. Will they be able to stay alive and dismantle a global conspiracy that plays out against a backdrop of romantic desire, adolescent jealousy, and dark family secrets-where betrayal is the name of the game?
