This is a story of a forward little French girl who grew up to be a wise young lady facing danger for being in love with a German officer during World War II.

Francette Zimmerman was born in Tunisia, North Africa in 1922. A former teacher, she holds a Ph.D. in French literature. She loves to write and paint. She has written three books as gifts for her grandchildren: The Oleander, I Remember, and The Charming Killer. Her third book, The Charming Killer, is in process with LifeRich Publishing.
Mrs. Zimmermans home on the eastern end of Long Island was destroyed in Superstorm Hurricane Sandy in 2012. She resides now in Pennsylvania with her grandson, waiting for her house to be rebuilt.
