Poorly treated by their master, the animals of Manor Farm stage a revolt, overthrowing Mr Jones and taking charge of the farm. They have big dreams about a happier future with less work, more food and no overbearing leaders, but then something unexpected happens.

The pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, fight for control of the farm. Will they end up being any better than the humans that ruled over the farm before them?
