Gillian Rowe is a full-time writer and researcher working with marginalised groups such as the GRT community. She has edited and authored chapters for this book and has edited and written for the Learning Matters imprint on health promotion and ethics and values for nursing associates. Gillian has extensive experience of the healthcare sector, having been a qualified nurse and then managed a large residential care facility. Gillian completed a PGCE and lectured for Plymouth University; Gillian is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
