A deadly attack rocks the Citadel of Var Athel, home of the Sorev Ael.

Convinced that the attack was orchestrated by Aeon's ancient enemy, the Charridan Empire, the Circle of Var Athel tasks a delegation of thirteen Sorev Ael and their Deri'cael apprentices to journey south to find the truth. There they uncover a plot to break the Peace that keeps Aeon safe.

In a race against time, AmyQuinn, Wren, and Samson, along with their Sorev Ael masters Valinor and Leora, must bring two rival nations together to prevent an all-out war that threatens to plunge the Land of Aeon into chaos.
