The ocean does not care whether you believe in it.

Maritime Mysteries | FrankiVerse Cafe Backrooms is the third volume in the Backrooms series - twelve chapters, twelve bodies of water, twelve documented maritime mysteries examined through the verified record, the regional lore layer, and the Coffee & Cryptids transcript, in which Franki and Franny Lynn sit down with the entities that have been in these waters since before the waters had human names and ask them what they know.

Flight 19 and the last transmission. The Mary Celeste and the table that was set. The Ourang Medan and all hands dead with no explanation. The Flannan Isles keepers who vanished between one log entry and the next. The SS Waratah and two hundred and eleven people who left no wreckage. The Flying Dutchman, still rounding the Cape. The Baltic Sea Anomaly. What Gitche Gumee keeps. The Devil's Sea. The twelve vile vortices. The Bimini Road, built to go underwater. The SS Valencia and the boats that came back with skeletal figures at the oars.

Also at the table: Captain Connie, formerly earthly matriarch, currently Quantum Royal Space Pirate, possessor of a legitimately acquired wormhole deed and a hat with small moons in orbit. She arrived before the series did. Morrish the selkie barista is at the table for the full volume and returns to the counter at the end changed by old water, permanently and correctly. The BooBerry K Muffins are on every menu. By the outro, the record knows why.

The entities did not take the ships. The ocean is not against you. The held are held with care.

Let's sail.

Haleigh Overseth is an American born writer, artist-producer, and creator of quirky multiverse narratives. She is the author of The Adventures of Abernathy Franklin: Volume 1, and her work spans e-book launches, podcasts, abstract art and graphic design, and the evolving FrankiVerse world.

Her writing merges humor with metaphysical curiosity: expect cosmic absurdity, cheeky commentary, and a voice that says "Yes, life is weird ? now let's play with it." Her readers are fellow wanderers of possibility who prefer a wink to a sermon and explore big ideas through imagination.

In addition to authoring fiction, Haleigh builds narrative ecosystems that include art drops, podcast adventures, and print-on-demand designs?each one an invitation to embrace ease, creativity, and abundance rather than hustle. She sees creativity not as a grind, but as a channel through which life flows.

When she's not crafting stories, she's playing in all other content creation facets she can find, kntting a new scarf, or sipping coffee while mapping the next FrankiVerse constellation. Haleigh continues writing and creative consulting, building worlds and making it look effortless (because the universe owes her one).
