Seven years ago, when my wife was diagnosed with cancer, I started writing as an escape. The result was, "Truthbearer: The Journeys of Connor Clark.," my first attempt at fantasy, or even fiction. It was a good story, but I knew nothing about everything that goes into writing and self-publishing. Now, seven years and fourteen books later, the story is ready to be retold.
They are "the green-eyed elf queen, and the man from another world, who would raise an orphan to become the greatest queen in the history of the Nine Worlds." Tasked by the Vardarianna, the legendary Tree of Life itself, and the Great Lion, to carry the Truth about the rise of evil to each of the Nine Worlds, Connor Clark is rescued from the executioner's gun by the Cleric Padraigh, and awakens in another place, another time, looking up into the amazing green eyes of the banished elf queen Iolena Yaleria. She is to be his Guardian, guide, and companion on their shared quest. Joined by the bounty hunter Menta Kai, they will come face to face with evil in its rawest form, Declan Dhark, the devil's first servant. Along the way, they will find friends, hope, redemption, and a love that both Connor and Iolena thought they had lost forever, in a land where the Deep Magic is outlawed, and treachery hides behind a deceptive smile.

I began writing fantasy in 2016, after my wife, Ellen, was diagnosed with cancer. It really took off a year later when she was declared in full remission and was able to start helping me. When I was a park ranger and, before that, a paramedic, I used to write articles about my areas of expertise. Now, I am writing the tales that have played in my imagination for over 60 years. My stories are epic fantasy with a Biblical world-view, and we test everything by how our teenaged granddaughters would react to it. I hope you enjoy the adventures and will join us on the journeys with Connor, Iolena, Menta Kai, and Fiona!
