He began his consulting career in Business Management in 1994 when he became a part of Prof. Vicente Falconi's team. Since then he has guided and helped improving the management system and in building results in organizations from different market segments in Brazil, the United States, and Europe.

As a leader of the group of consultants in the area of maintenance, he has worked directly for over three years with Japanese specialists from JUSE (Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers) and JODC (Japan Oceanographic Data Center) in Brazilian companies. The partnership resulted in the publication in 1998 of the book Managing Productive Maintenance adopted by companies, schools, and other organizations as an essential guide in search of better equipment performance and higher productivity.

In a period prior to consulting, he attended one year of practical training in Total Quality Management at Panasonic Corporation (Matsushita Electric Industrial Company) in Japan. After this he finished a Master's in Quality and Reliability from the University of Birmingham in England.

He is an alumnus of the Kellogg Management Institute of Kellogg School of Management, obtaining training in strategy and organizational alignment at Harvard Business School. His academic background began with a degree in Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering of UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais) in 1987. Xenos has over ten years of experience in aircraft maintenance and another nine years as manager of continuous improvement at ArcelorMittal in the United States and Canada. He currently lives in Chicago (USA).
