The final volume of veteran music journalist Ira Robbins' anthology-cum-memoir, Music in a Word Volume 3 contains complete transcripts of archival interviews with David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, Morrissey, Radiohead, Nick Lowe and others, magazine features about Television, CBGB, They Might Be Giants, OMD and others, liner notes (ELO, Blondie, T. Rex, Yardbirds, Johnny Thunders, Humble Pie), obituaries, book reviews, correspondence, critics' polls and a whole lot more, all annotated and expanded with recollections and anecdotes from 50 years in the trenches of writing about rock music.

Ira Robbins was raised in New York City in the 1960s and studied to be an electrical engineer ? but became a music journalist instead. He co-founded Trouser Press magazine in 1974 and served as publisher for 10 years.

He has written or edited several dozen books, including two novels and the Zip It Up! anthology of Trouser Press.
