If Carla knew her interior decorating career would involve pornography, mafia and murder, she could have taken other classes, such as Self Preservation: 101.
In 1973, a state senator, and dear friend, introduced Carla to Roy, a wealthy movie theater owner. Captivated by her beauty, talent and business sense he hired her to refurbish his theaters. Their partnership led to marriage. Soon her work was admired by the boss of the West Coast's most powerful mafia.
His wife hired Carla to redecorate their Hollywood mansion. She met and befriended other lonely wives married to utmembers of that mafia. When Roy joined them he got involved in more porno, and then parental child abuse and murder. He drug Carla into the depths of that shady world with him.
Carla loved Roy deeply but had to escape his deception, adultery and control. She found solace in the love of another man... a cop who set his sights on her husband. Spiraling deeper into that twisted, dangerous world, Carla's coiled mind became entangled. Doctors feared the loss of her sanity while a secret admirer loved her from afar with his hands tied. Could the senator cease Roy's rampages? Would a court step in to curtail him?
Or did Roy just dig her grave?
