Now That's Crazy They've raced the Indianapolis 500 for over 100 years. It's considered the greatest motorsports event in the world. A handful of those races have been thrilling and crazy. Eight of those appear here. It's real US history. The very first race had controversy but didn't make the list. One race featured the leader having a breakdown, and then having to push his car across the finish line. Another year had a garage fire before the green flag, and then the leader crashed, the fuel tank split open, but there was no fire. Two Indy 500's had the Big One crashes.
